Fire Fighter Jim Sharp stated that thc Committee was satisfied with Dean Kapler's <br />interview and is recommending him for the position of Fire Chief. <br /> <br />Fire Fighter Bob Litke added that if they had not been satisfied with Mr. Kapler's <br />interview, they would recommend an interim chief; however, they were satisfied with the <br />interview. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Gilbertson and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to ratify the <br />Interviewing Committee's action to recommend offering the position of Fire Chief to Dean <br />Kapler. <br /> <br />Further discussion: The Fire Board expressed the feeling that Mr. Kapler would work very <br />well as Fire Chief. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Oilbertson, Councilmember Beyer, Boardmembers <br />McLaughlin, Pearson, Simpson and Williams.
