Councilmember Jeffrey introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #11 -05 -105 <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR CITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />#09 -25; DYSPROSIUM STREET RECONSTRUCTON <br />WHEREAS, on May 11, 2010 the Ramsey City Council ordered Improvement project <br />09 -25; Dysprosium Street Reconstruction, called for the preparation of plans and specifications <br />and authorized the solicitation of bids; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for Improvement Project 09 -25; <br />Dysprosium Street Reconstruction, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the following is a summary of the bids that were received: <br />Contractor <br />County Line Excavating LLC <br />Douglas -Kerr Underground LLC <br />Northdale Construction Co. Inc. <br />Bid <br />$693,752.48 <br />$705,270.52 <br />$752,941.01 <br />WHEREAS, County Line Excavating LLC is the lowest responsible bidder. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />contract with County Line Excavating Inc for Improvement Project 09 -25; Dysprosium <br />Street Reconstruction in the amount of $693,752.48, and <br />2) That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the <br />deposits made with their bids. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Wise and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Ramsey <br />Councilmember Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Wise <br />Councilmember Backous <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember McGlone <br />Councilmember Tossey <br />RESOLUTION #11 -05 -105 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
