Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #95-01-XXX RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF ONE 2-1/2 TON TRUCK CAB AND tDHASSIS AND ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR DUMP BOX, SNOW PLOW, WING AND SANDER WHEREAS, at the Council's Finance Committee meeting of January 24, 1995, staff presented a reqiiest for the purchase of one 2-1/2 ton truck cab, chassis, dump box, snow plow, wing and sande~i as a replacement for existing vehicle #607; and WHEREAS, included in the 1995 Adopted General Fund Budget was the purchase of one 2-1/2 ton t~ck cab, chassis, dump box, snow plow, wing and sander as a replacement for existing vehicle ~607 at a total price of $75,000.00; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that the purchase of the cab and chassis through the Hennepin Country Purchasing Cooperative meets all statutory bidding requirements; and WHERES, the Hennepin County Purchasing Cooperative did not solicit bids on the dump box, snow plow, wing and sander making it necessary for the City to proceed with the requirements under the statutory bidding laws; and WHEREAS, Lakeland Ford was awarded the contract for supplying the 1995 heavy trucks at a price Of $41,903 plus sales tax and license; and WHEREAS, the base price of the cab and chassis is $41,903.00 plus sales tax and license for the truck cab and chassis, plus an amount not-to-exceed $30,373.00 for dump box, snow plow, win~g and sander, plus the first year replacement funding of $6,200.00 for a total funding of $81,200.00; and WHEREAS, the sum of $29,997.00 is available ih the City's Equipment Replacement Fund and was talien into consideration in the 1995 Adopted General Fund Budget; and WHEREAS, the Finance Committee approved this recommendation and hereby recommends tha/: Ramsey City Council authorize the purchase and funding sources as detailed in this resolution and recommended the advertisement of bids. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the capital purchase of one 2-1/2 ton track cab and chassis from Lakeland Ford. 2) 3) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the solicitation of bids for the purchase of a dump box, snow plow, wing and sander. That the C, ity Council hereby authorizes the transfe;'of funds from the City's Equipment Replacement Fund to the General Fund as detailed within this resolution. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duty seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof:
