That l!ttle jog would not be a specific part of #3 or 4, but he asked that it be <br />considered so if the property owners would prefer that, it would be approved. <br /> ? <br />Mayor Hardi~ inquired of Mr. Voss if their meeting scheduled with Anoka Electric <br />Cooperative a ..r~d UPA, etc. is an open meeting so Mr. Fountain or others could attend. <br /> <br />Mr. Voss stated it would be a very informal, very preliminary type meeting; therefore, he <br />felt maybe no ~ne else would wish to attend it. <br /> <br />Mayor Hardin!stated the City would like assurances that Anoka Municipal Utility is <br />planning to melt with Anoka Electric regarding the pole use. <br /> <br />Mr. Gedde assured Mayor Hardin that the City of Anoka will grant Anoka Electric <br />Cooperative tl{e right to use our poles; however, we cannot assure the City that Anoka <br />Electric Cooperative will do the same. <br /> <br />Mr. Fountain again inquired why the lines cannot be placed on the same poles. <br /> <br />Mr. Gedde relrt, lied that the line Anoka Municipal is talking about is a transmission line; <br />what's there i~it distribution line. <br /> <br />Mr. Fountain ~Oqmred if there's a reason why it cannot be strung right where it's situated. <br />Mr. Gedde stat~l if that were the case, we would need an 80-foot easement. <br />Councilmemb~r Zimmerman inquired if a public hearing was originally held on this issue. <br /> <br />Mr. Jankowsk~ replied no, it was discussed at the Planning Commission and again at <br />Council last N~vember. <br /> <br />Motion by Cod?cilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to approve the <br />addition of Alt{rnative 4 as an acceptable transmission line route with the changes indicated <br />by Mr. Gedd{, have Mr. Jankowski attend the meeting of the utility companies, and <br />authorize the ~ty Attorney to modify the agreement accordingly. <br /> <br />Further discussion: Councilmember Zimmerman inquired if the Utility companies were <br />going to meetlwith Doug Fountain. Mr. Fountain felt it was not necessary as he had <br />conveyed his thoughts here. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Peterson, Beyer, Beahen <br />and Zimmerm~n.
