Case #6

INSPECT CENTRAL PARK
By: Parks/Utilities Supervisor Mark Boos

Background:

At the May 11, 19r95 regular meeting, the Commission conducted all its business, including
Commission Input, lthen adjourned to inspect Solstice Park. It is expected that a similar informal
tour of Central Park will occur. The 45-acre park has a significant array of features, including
recent capital improvements, so adequate time should be allowed.

The purpose of park inspections are to maintain familiarity with the park system and to discuss
operational conceras. Another important element is to interact with park users. At Central Park
this time of year, t~e Commission can expect several hundred users or more to be at the park
during the evening hours.

Commission action:

None required.

Reviewed by:

Parks/Utilities Supervisor

P&R: 6/8/95

Copies also distributed to:

Mayor and Council
Dave Baack, RYAA President
