Resurface Courts. This $3,500 General Fund expenditure will rectify the cracks in the
court surface and re-color the surface which will be the first significant maintenance the
court has received in approximately 10 years.

Flintwood Terrace Playground. West of Dysprosium Street, off of 142nd Avenue,
will be tho site for this $32,000 improvement consisting primarily of play equipment. It's
projected ..that the magnitude of the playground will be similar to Emerald Pond Park's. All
the residents in the effected area were invited to a neighborhood meeting to discuss the
expenditu~e and what might be in the park. Those comments will be used when selecting
the play equipment, and in addition, a couple different families volunteered to select the
specific equipment.

o

School Rink Replacement. As a result of the grading and site improvements for the
Ramsey Elementary School expansion, both rinks were demolished. The rinks are
intended tO be replaced in the fall of 1995 for the 1995/1996 skating season. The School
District has agreed to fund the replacement of one rink with the City replacing the other.
The City's ~half (projected at $10,000) is intended to be funded by Park Trust fund interest
earnings as, the rinks supply recreation to many users outside of the Sunfish Lake district.

6. Emerald Pond Park Phase II.
