Where possible (near neighborhoods, schools, etc.) create <br />pedestrian/bicycle-friendly zones. <br />Pursue connections between the City's trail system and other regional, trail facilities. <br /> <br />The Park and Trails Plan shown on Figure 3-7 includes an off-road trail around the west side <br />of Sunfish Lake. Because of the scale of the illustration, it appears that the trail impacts <br />privately owned property. It is not the intention of the City to acquire this property in the <br />immediate near term to develop the trail. Instead, when and if the property owners decide to <br />sell the property, the City will take proactive steps to acquire it for the purpose of <br />constructing the trail. <br /> <br />Page 3-36 <br /> <br /> <br />
