Safe and efficient operations are made possible by <br />separating conflicting movements. Figure 3-10 shows minimum corner clearance for <br />signalized and unsignalized intersections. <br /> <br />Where narrow lot widths (created prior to adoption of the guidelines) do not permit <br />enforcement of the minimum clearances shown on Figure 3-8, an absolute corner clearance <br />of 50 feet may be used. In all cases on major streets, left-turns into and out of such a <br />driveway will not be permitted. <br /> <br />Site traffic impact studies should investigate the potential of driveway blockage by <br />intersection queues when the driveway is near an intersection that is controlled by a traffic <br />signal. <br /> <br />Page 3-44 <br /> <br /> <br />
