All resident', should have reasonable access to Ramsey's trail system with a minimum of <br />thorough-fm'e crossings. <br /> <br />Each signifiVant State and County Highway roadway should have, at minimum, a paved <br />shoulder de¢ignated for non-vehicular transportation. Eventually a parallel treadway <br />separated bg curb and boulevard is desired. <br /> <br />The City sh~ould establish pedestrian and bicyclist safety as a key priority in its traffic <br />control enfo~'Cement program. <br /> <br />The City sh ~0uld aggressively seek development, operations and maintenance funding for <br />trail segments that are of regional importance. <br /> <br />The City shquld identify and prioritize those trails serving an important transportational role <br />(i.e.: paralleling Highway #47) to utilize Federal Highway Administration or Minnesota <br />State Aid do[Jla.rs for construction. <br /> <br />In existing ~ail corridors, a landscaping program should begin utilizing seedling stock to <br />separate anti buffer adjoining land uses. Each plan will consider providing sight lines to <br />assist the public in monitoring trail activity. <br /> <br />All trails received through subdivision platting should be constructed concurrent with the <br />developmeni infrastructure to encourage and expedite trail plan completion. <br /> <br /> <br />
