Councilmember ~ <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION #95-02- <br /> <br />RESOLUTIONi ADOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT # TO REZONE CERTAIN <br />PROPERTY F~OM R-3 URBAN RESIDENTIAL TO---R-7-1 URBAN RESIDENTIAL <br /> <br /> L <br /> WHERE6S, the City received an application to rezone certain property in accordance <br />with Section 9.03~3 of the Ramsey City Code; and <br /> <br />NOW THEREF~)RE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ~NOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1. That GaryiGorham, hereinafter referred to as "Applicant", has properly applied to rezone <br /> certain property from R-3 Urban Residential to R-1 Urban Residential. <br /> <br />2. That the P!~anning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing pursuant to Section <br /> 9.03.03 ofithe City Code on February 7, 1995 and that said public hearing was properly <br /> advertised ~nd that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby incorporated by reference. <br /> <br />3. That the p ,rDperty proposed to be rezoned is legally described as follows: <br /> <br /> Commencing at the Northwest corner of GORHAM'S SANDY ACRES ESTATES <br /> according io the plat thereof on file and of record in the office of the County Recorder in <br /> and for An~ka County, Minnesota; thence South along the West line of said GORHAM'S <br /> SANDY A~CRES ESTATES for a distance of 549.17 feet, thence West and parallel with the <br /> North line pf the Southwest Quarter of said Section 24 for a distance of 429.98 feet to a <br /> point hereihafter known as Point A; thence continuing West and parallel with said North <br /> line of the iSouthwest Quarter to the centerline of State Trunk Highway No. 47; thence <br /> Southeastej:ly along said centerline for a distance of 400.57 feet to the actual point of <br /> beginning bf land to be described; thence East and parallel with said North line of the <br /> Southwesti Quarter for a distance of 593.98 feet; thence Northwesterly to the <br /> aforementi{bned Point A; thence East and parallel with said North line of the Southwest <br /> Quarter to ~he West line of GORHAM'S SANDY ACRES ESTATES to the Southwest <br /> corner thereof; thence Westerly along the Westerly extension of the South line of said <br /> GORItAMiS SANDY ACRES ESTATES to the centerline of State Trunk Ilighway No. <br /> 47; thence lXIorthwesterly along said centerline to the point of beginning. <br /> <br />and upon regording: <br /> <br />Willow Ridge, Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> <br />The total ar~a of the property to be rezoned is approximately eighteen (18) acres. <br /> <br />That the subject property is currently zoned R-3 Urban Residential. <br />That the s~rrounding properties to the east, south and west are zoned R-1 Urban <br />Residentialland the properties to the north are zoned R-3 Urban Residential and B-1 <br />Business. <br /> <br />That the Applicant is proposing to develop the plat with single family urban residential lots. <br /> <br /> <br />
