Councilmember ~ introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION #95-06- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 4~DOPTING FINDINGS OF FACT # RELATING TO AN <br />AMENDMENT TO THE DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE RUM RIVER HILLS <br />PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT (PUD) <br /> <br /> WHEREA~, Rum River Hills, Inc. hereinafter referred to as "Applicant", applied for <br />site plan approval!to construct a. Golf Course maintenance building on the property legally <br />described as follow~: <br /> <br /> OutIot G, RUm River Hills, Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> <br /> WHEREA,$., on June 6, 1995, the City of Ramsey Planning Commission directed City <br /> Staff to schedule ~ public hearing to consider an amendment to the development plan for the <br /> planned unit develoi)ment and site plan approval to specifically allow for the establishment of a golf <br /> course maintenancerbullding.,Il <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFO.'RE~ BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF RAMSEY, ~NOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That on De~ember 11, 1984, bY Resolution #84-240, the City Council approved the final <br /> developme4t plan of the Rum River Hills PUD. That approval was proceeded by the <br /> appropriate ~ublic hearings and notification. <br /> <br />2) That the fin~ development plan approved by the City Council provides, in part, that the <br /> project will ~onsist of an 18 hole public golf course, single family residential lots, multi- <br /> family hous'.fiqg and rural commercial development space. <br /> <br />3) That with regard to the golf course development, the final development plan provided that <br /> "there will also likely be an out-building in which to store power carts". <br /> <br />4) That the A~plicant proposes to construct the maintenance building on a portion of the <br /> Southwest ~rner of Outlot G, adjacent to Trunk Highway #47 and immediately north of <br /> Lots 1, 2 an~ 3, Block 1, Rum River Acres. · <br /> <br />5) <br /> <br />6) <br /> <br />7) <br /> <br />8) <br /> <br />That the Applicant is applying to amend the Rum River Hills Planned Unit Development <br />plan to specifically permit construction of a golf course maintenance building on a portion <br />of the PUD ~bnd in addition, pursuant to applicable City Code requirements, the Applicant is <br />also applyinl~ for site plan approval. <br /> <br />That the applicant appeared before the Planning Commission for a public hearing on June <br />21, 1995, add that the minutes of said public hearing are hereby incorporated as a part of <br />these findings by reference. <br />That the Pla~. ned Unit Development amendment is consistent with the initial PUD plan <br />approval in ~hat a maintenance building is a reasonable accessory use for the principal golf <br />course use. <br /> <br />That the entire site (structure and parking area) being removed from the open space <br />therefore cohsists of 7,380 square feet or approximately .16 acre. The entire open space <br />that comprises the golf course only consists of 115 acres and the proposed use therefore <br />will be remo~ng .075 percent of the open space. <br /> <br /> <br />
