If the meeting cannot be scheduled until after
the new year, Councilmember Peterson will take Mayor
Gilbertson's place on the Committee. Schedule such meeting.
Meeting was held with Hardin.

Christmas Tree Lot signs were discussed. The Council talked
about having the Planning Commission review the sign ordinance
as it relates to seasonal, etc. As discussion ensued, it appeared the
consensus of the Council was that this would be a good discussion
for the workshop. Councilmember Zimmerman stated he felt that
with regard to Christmas Tree farms, the signs should pertain more
to the directional rather than to the price of the trees.

Council granted approval to the site plan for the expansion of
Ramsey Elementary School contingent upon modifying the site plan
to include concrete curbing, parking lot lighting and trails, and the
submittal of an acceptable drainage plan. Execute Development
Agreement.

The Planning Commission voted to recommend that the developer
address the off-street parking issue, as discussed, and make any
recommended amendments to Parkshire North as directed by the
Park and Recreation Commission before proceeding to preliminary
plat. Applicant withdrew.

Draft an ordinance to change the subdivision sketch plan procedure
so that it goes to the Parks & Recreation Commission prior to the
Planning Commission.

Councilmember Peterson requested information on why it*s 600'
for cul-de-sac length - From a planning standpoint - should we keep
it at that - what's the reason for it He would also like input from
public works people and emergency people.

With regard to amending the thoroughfare setbacks, the Planning
Commission voted to delete #3 which reads "On County Roads #116
and #56 - adopt the County policy of 60 feet from the centerline of the
right-of-way plus the City's standard setback and to the 4th sentence -
remove the period after centerline and add "of the right of way".
