September 19~ 1995

City of Ramsey:

My neighbors and I have paid to have our road surfaced and we also pay
for the resurfacing. When road restrictions are on, they have been
disre<3arded and. the roads driven on re~-ardless of posted limits. In
our case, a three ~xle trailer, front end loader and tar laying equip-
ment plus the dump truck have been parking at 7921 152nd Lane NW, off
and on for almost three years. With all the calling to voice complaints,
there doesn't seem to be any justice for people living within the la~.
The noise, smell of idling equipment and the danger of commercial
equipment just doesn't belong in a resid, ential area. The truck is
coming and gOing at all hours of the day and night. K~en it is in the
area, the house vibrates. I understand the reasons given by commercial
equipment owners for ~.~nting to park on their property, but they have to
understand the reasons %~y the rest of us chose to live in the suburbs.
Personally, I wanted to get my family a~.~y from the noise and hustle of
the City. I don't think my neighbors or myself should ever have had to
get involved with this problem. The ordinance states no parking of
commercial ~ehicles allowed and that should have been enough to enforce
it from the start. There has been ~ real failure to enforce the law in
Ramsey.
