Voting Yes: Mayor Hardin, Councilmembers Beahen, Zimmerman, Beyer. <br />Voting No: None. Absent: CouncilmemberPeterson. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Discussion Regarding the Parking.and Storing of Commercial <br />Vehicles in Residential Districts. <br /> <br />Zoning Administrator Frolik summarized the recommendation for amendment to Chapter 512 <br />(Condition of Premises) of the City Code (See Exhibit A attached). <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder clarified that the intent of the amendment is to allow contractors and <br />small business owners to drive their commercial vehicle home for the night. Persons in the urban <br />district and persons on less than three acres in the rural district would be required to store <br />commemial vehicles indoors. <br /> <br />Several citizens inquired as to what action would be required to change a rural service area to an <br />urban service area. <br /> <br />City Adminisu'ator Schroeder explained that the recent changes in the City Charter would require a <br />public vote to expand the MUSA or urban serVice area boundary. <br /> <br />Edward Hansen - 7913 - 142nd Avenue - expressed his feeling that we need other means to <br />communicate with our citizens that what is currently being utilize& <br /> <br />Lois Miller - 7900 142nd Avenue - said that she believes that neighbors should not have to look at <br />unsightly messes, such as the items her neighbor brings home. <br /> <br />City Council Workshop/September 20~ 1995 <br /> Page 1 of 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
