ORDINANCE #03-26 <br /> <br /> CITY OF RAMSE¥ <br />ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 7 WHICH IS KNOWN AS THE LICENSING AND <br />PERMITS CHA~TER OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 7 OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, <br />MINNESOTA. <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. A ~M, ENDMENT <br /> <br />Chapter 7 "Licensing and Permits" is amended to include the following SectiOn: <br />7.15 Rental R~sidential Dwelling Units <br /> <br /> Subd. 1. License Required. No person shall operate a multiple rental dwelling <br />building or unit Without first having obtained a license to do so from the City. <br /> <br /> Subd. 2. Expiration of License. Licenses shall be issued every two (2) years and <br />shall expire on tl~e anniversary date of the license. <br /> <br /> Subd. 3. Fees. <br /> <br /> a. Li{~ense fees shall be established from time to time by resolution of the City <br /> Council. All required fees shall accompany an initial or renewal application. A <br /> delinquency penalty of five percent (5%) of the license fee shall be charged for <br /> earth day of operation without a valid license up to 90 days. Thereafter, the City <br /> may take appropriate action to prevent the continued use of the affected dwelling <br /> unit or units in accordance with State and local laws and ordinances. <br /> <br />bo <br /> <br />A licensee shall not be entitled to a refund of any license fee upon revocation or <br />suspension. However, the licensee shall be entitled to a license fee refund, <br />prorated monthly, upon proof of transfer of legal ownership or control. <br /> <br />A reinspection fee, established from time to time, by the City Council shall be <br />charged for each reinspection required after the follow-up inspection to the initial <br />inspection. Reinspection fees shall be payable at the time of license renewal and <br />no renewal license shall be issued unless all inspection fees are paid. <br /> <br />Subd. 4. Application. Application for an initial or renewal license shall be made by the <br />owner of rental u~ts or by the owner's legally constituted agent to the City on forms provided by <br />the City.
