Councilmember Pearson asked if they will be using the existing Highway 10 access to the Dillon <br />house for customer use. <br /> <br />Jeff Hickman, applicant, stated they are using the new garage and want to improve the look of <br />the business since this is the gateway to Ramsey. He stated they want the best looking operation <br />they can have. Mr. Hickman stated he doubts people will use that access but several may. He <br />stated they are trying to encourage customers to use the Sunfish Lake Boulevard entrance hut it is <br />good for them to have the Highway 10 entrance as well. <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director Trudgeon stated there is currently two access points <br />fi'om Highway 10. <br /> <br />Mr. Hickman stated they advertise that they are located on Sunfish Lake Boulevard so more <br />customers are using that access. He doubted many customers would gain access form the Dillon <br />driveway. <br /> <br />Councilmember Pearson asked if there is a right turn lane into the Dillon driveway. <br /> <br />Mr. Hickman stated there is only a roadway shoulder. He stated they don't want to rent out the <br />Dillon home for residential use and are making this request so they can use it for Plants and <br />Things. <br /> <br />Councilmember Kurak thanked Mr. Hickman for the recent site improvements, including the <br />fence. <br /> <br />Mr. Hickman stated their long-term plan is to pave everything but that work is being held up by <br />the sewer project that will come in from the back. <br /> <br />Councilmelnber Kurak requested that Mr. Hickman relocate all of the merchandize behind the <br />right-of-way stake. <br /> <br />Mr. Hickman stated the concrete paths will allow customers to see the merchandise and better <br />define their boundary. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Pearson, seconded by Councilmember Kurak, to approve the <br />proposed site plan for the Plants and Things accessory building subject to: <br /> <br />a) <br /> <br />b) <br /> <br />Compliance with City Staff Review Letter dated August 29, 2003, revised September <br />19, 2003. <br />The Applicant entering into a Development Permit with the City. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, and Councilmembers Pearson, Kurak, Cook, <br />Strommen, and Zimmerman. Voting No: None.
