It <br /> <br />operates five different programs which serve 7,200 people annually. <br /> <br />This project has two objectives: 1) To improve community planning <br /> <br />efforts and community responsiveness so that appropriate services are <br /> <br />available to people who have developmental disabilities[ 2) To provide <br /> <br />workshops and support systems which will enable families to meet <br />others, to learn essential information and to be supportive to <br />each other. <br /> <br />.Announ[ of CIPBG Funds R.~..c~u:sted $ I, 0 0 0 <br /> <br />S?~'5fic ~-r-zoj ~z D~.s.~'-iption: <br /> Arc proposes to utilize CDBG funding to support the most essential <br /> <br />services operated by the organization. Activities included in the <br /> <br />project are support groups, workshops, recreation programs, information <br /> <br />and referral services, one-to-one advocacy, matching parents of young <br /> <br />children with mentors, school and community presentations, participation <br /> <br />in public policy development, and public awareness campaigns. 141 people <br />will receive direct services and 181 indirect services (presentations <br />and public policy initiatives).
