Councilmember Pearson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #03-05-114 <br /> <br />RESOLUTIONiACCEPTING THE RESIGNATION OF BUILDING OFFICIAL, GLYN <br />HUFF, AND }kPPOINTING RON WASMUND, CERT #0903, AS THE CITY'S <br />BUILDING OFFICIAL <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Glyn Huff was the City's Full-time Building Official; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Mr. Huff resigned from his position as Building Official effective May 6, <br />2003; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Minnesota Statutes require that the City appoint a new Building Official <br />within 15 days of a vacancy; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, staff has met with three contractors to discuss the City's need for a <br />Building Official; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the consensus among staff is that Inspectron, Inc. best meets the needs of <br />the City at this time. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the <br />Personnell Committee to accept Glyn Huffs resignation from the position as Building <br />Official effective May 6, 2003. <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the <br />Personnel~ Committee to authorize City Administrator, Jim Norman, to enter into an <br />agreement with Inspection, Inc. for inspections services for a period of six months <br />beginningiMay 14, 2003. The rate of compensation to Inspectron, Inc. will be $65.00 per <br />hour for approximately 20 hours per week. <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the <br />Personnel Committee to appoint Ron Wasmund (Certificate #0903), of Insectron, Inc., as <br />the City's Builidng Official for an interim period of six months. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Elvig, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Pearson <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Cook <br />Councilmember Knutson <br />Councilmember Strommen <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br /> <br />
