Councilmember K~rak introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #03-05-115 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HIRING OF GIVONNA REED FOR THE <br />POSITION OF HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at the regular meeting of January 14, 2003, City Council accepted the <br />resignation of Patri~:k Leadens and authorized a recruitment process to fill the vacancy; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a recruitment process was completed with the assistance of Labor <br />Relations and AssoCiates as authorized by City Council on February 11th, 2003; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, staff recommends Givonna Reed for the position of Human Resources <br />Manager <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSI~Y, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey confirms the recommendation of the <br />Personnel Committee to authorize the hiring of Givonna Reed for the full-time Human <br />Resources Manager <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That Ms. Reed will be compensated at a rate of $63,186.00 with three weeks of vacation <br />and be required to complete a six-month probationary period. Ms. Reed's hiring is <br />contingent on successful completion of background checks, employment physical, and <br />drug/alcohol screen. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Elvig, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Kurak <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Cook <br />Councilmember Pearson <br />Councilmember Strommen <br />Councilmernber Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> none <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />none <br /> <br /> <br />
