Councilmember Pearson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #03-05-132 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION iAUTHORIZING BKV GROUP PROPOSAL FOR PRELIMINARY <br />PLANNING FoR CITY HALL AND POLICE DEPARTMENT AND USE OF FUNDS <br />FROM COUNCIL CONTINGENCY FUND <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a Space Needs Assessment has been completed for the Police Department; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Space Needs Assessment previously completed in 1999 for City Hall <br />has been updated to reflect current projections; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, to provide for Preliminary Planning for City Hall and Police Offices, BKV <br />Group has submitted a proposal for the development of building schemes and to begin work with <br />the proposed site in Ramsey Town Center. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey authorizes proceeding with the proposal <br />from BKV Group for Preliminary Planning for City Hall and Police Department at a cost <br />not to exceed $7,000. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey authorizes the use of Council Contingency <br />funds for this purpose. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Kurak, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Pearson <br />Councilmember Kurak <br />Councilmember Cook <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Strommen <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />none <br /> <br /> <br />
