Councihncmber Zimmerman introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #03-06-145 RESOLUTION ~CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PROPOSED SUBMISSION OF A MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRADE AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT, MINNESOTA INVESTMENT FUND GRANT WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey ("City") has previously entered into a Development Agreement with Panther Investments (dba Panther Precision Machine) to construct a manufacturing facility in Sunfish Lake Business Park; and WHERE~AS, the owners of Panther Precision Machine have requested that the City of Ramsey submit a grant application to the Minnesota Department of Trade and Economic Development to assist the business withrthe project in Ramsey; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined to consider submitting a Minnesota Department of Trade and Economic Development, Minnesota Investment Fund Grant application. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: PUBLIC HEARING. That the City Council shall meet on Tuesday, June 24, 2003, at approximately 7:00 p.m. at Fire Station No. 1 to hold a public hearing on the submission and filing of an application for a Minnesota Investment Fund Grant from the Minnesota Department of Trade and Economic Development. NOTICE OF HEARING. That the City Administrator is hereby authorized to cause a notice of the hearing, substantially in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Kurak, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gamec Councilmember Zimmerman Councilmember Kurak Councilmember Cook Councilmember Elvig Councilmember Pearson And the following voted against the same: Nonc And thc following abstained: RESOLUTION #03-06-145 Page 1 of 2
