Ms. F, rolik added that this is a very iow prof'fie business, and in the 3 years that <br />Mz. Haigh's CUP has been in effect, the City received no wrinen or verbal complaints about the <br />businesm <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer inquired whether MI. I-ki~ was still under the 300 square feet of space <br />allowed under the terms of the CLIP after purchasing the eqmpment, and lxir. Haigh stated he had <br />not exp~mded the area of the business in his home. <br /> <br />Morion by Commissioner Holland and seconded by Commissioner Terry to recommend that City <br />Council grant t~ 3 year extension to December 31, 1996 for the conditional use permit for a home <br />occupation issued to Steven HaJgh at 14151 Oermamum Street N.W. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Commissioner Hendriksen wondered whether a CLIP was required for a <br />business that had no outward manifestation. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Holland, TenD', Deemer, <br />Henfiriksen, La.Due, and Thorud. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #3: <br /> <br />Request for a Conditional Use Permit for an Alternate Fuel Supply <br />Demonstration Project; Case of Kaltec, Inc, <br /> <br />Zoning Adminisn-ator Frolik ad~qsed that Kaltec of Minnesota, Inc. has applied for a temporary <br />conditiona2 use permit to establish and opm-ate a Molten Carbonate Fuel Cell test demonstration <br />faoLI.ity on the land.fill property., at 14730 Sunfish Lake Boulevard N.W. She explained that Kaltec <br />would ~ leasing a portion of Waste Managemenfs prop,.~cy for this demonstration project. <br /> <br />Commissioner Holland inquired whether the prqiect would be open to the public, and Chuck <br />R.ippe, a representative of Kakec of Minnesotz~ Inc., advised that it would not be open to the <br />general public bur would be o?~n to City and oth~ officials. <br /> <br />Commissioner Holland inouimd whether Kaltec would be sharing their results with the Ci~ of <br />l~msey, and Mr. R.ippe asserted that they would. <br /> <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission preceeded to review the Findings of <br /> <br />It was the consensus of the Commission that gl through 011 would remain as presented, with the <br />exception that the rypo~"apkical error in #7 (regarding the number) ~ corre2.te_xi. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer ~d seconded by Commissioner Hendriksen to amend #12 to <br />read "That the applicam has indicated that no State or County p~mits are required for the test <br />demonstration facility." <br /> <br />Motion car'r/ed. Voting Yes: Chairperson Bawden, Commissioners Deemer, Hendriksen, <br />Holland,.
