CONTRACI2JAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN and STATE OF MINNESOTA, DEPARTMENT OF ADMINISTRATION BUILDING CODES AND STANDARDS DIVISION Recitals WHE~, the State of Minnesota, Commissioner of Administration, by and through the Department of Administration, Building Codes and Standards Division, (hereinafter ~S .~te"':) is authorized pursuant to Minn. Stat. § 16B.61, subd. la to contract with a municipality !or plan review, code administration, and code enforcement service for public buildings in th~ contractual jurisdiction, WHEREAS, (hereinafter Mumcnpal~ty )i as defined in Minn. Stat. § 16B.60, subd. 3, constitutes an entity with which the state shall Contract for plan review, code administration, and code enforcement service for public buildings in the contractual jurisdiction, WHEREAS, the Municipality wishes to provide these services, WHEREAS, the Municipality's building official meets the requirements of Minn. State § 16B.65,~ WI-[EREAS, the State has determined that the Municipality has enough adequately trained and q~alified building inspectors to provide those services for public building projects defin&~l in Minn. State § 16B.60, subd. 6: NOW .THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants contained herein, the State and the Municipality enter into this Comract for the purpose of conferr/ng upon the Municipality rdsponsibility for administration of the State Building Code, Minn. Stat. § 16B.59 to 16.73 and Minn. Rules Chapters 1300 - 1370 (hereinafter "Code") for pubhc buildings withi~ the Municipality's jurisdiction, as follows: 1.
