Dalles' RV World
Mini Hom~s - Motor Homes - 'l-ravel and Tent 'J'railers - Pickup Campers - 5th Vv"neels and Park Mc~els

7129 HIGHWAY 10 N.W., ANOKA, MINNESOTA 55303 · i612) 422-4171
3 Miles West on Highway 20

January 11~, 1994

Sylvia FroLic
City of RaDsey
15153 Nowt~en Blvd. N.w.
Ramse¥, MN~ 55303

RECEIVED
JAN 12 192 ,
.....

Dear Ms. Frolic:

I am hereby requesting an amendment to my agreement with the
City of Ra~sey regarding the blacktop of my lot located at
7103 Hwy. ~0 N.W.Ramsey, MN.

The night that I signed the agreement, Dick Swensen, my realator
and Mr. an~ Mrs. Lucian Klersey (the previous owners of the proa
perty) wer~ not present on my behalf at the meeting because of a
mix-up in ~ates. Because of lack of representation, I feel that
tne city dkd not listen to my views and that I was forced into a
contract. IMY lease at 7129 Hwy. 10 N.W. Was cancelled and it was
necessary ~or me to move immediately.

At the tim~ that I was purchasing the property at 7103 Hwy.10 N.W.
it was imp~ssible to envision that there would be a major problem
with the d~ainage of water from the roof which slopes toward all
of my fron[ doors. This drainage of water, snow and ice causes
a hazard t~ my customers and employees and is a detriment to my
business. ~ Last winter ~ had a two foot ice build up in front of
my doors add during the rest'~of the year it is water that inter-
feres with~business.

! believe that it was inappropriate for the City of Ramsey to de-
mand such ~ big out-lay of cash to black top the lot, before allow-
ing me to ~rv the building and property for my particular needs.
Had I know~ ~f these problems and the amount of money needed to
make the bhilding workable, I would have rejected the agreement.

I am planning to add a 25' o~er-hang ~to the front of the building
with cemen~ base and 4-pillar posts .to eliminate my roof problem.
Had I pave~ in front of the building, I .would have to tear it up.

The front ~rea of the building is one of the most important areas
of my busiRess. This area is where we do 95% of our general prep.,
washing, d~monstrating, exhibiting and selling. With 50% of the
inside spa~e in the building used as an indoor showroom and the
balance used for repairs and offices, it is necessary to have the
front exterior in the best possible working condition.
I01
