Councilmember adoption: introduced the following resolution and moved for its RESOLUTION #94-03.- RESOLUTIONi APPROVING CLASSIFICATION AND REQUESTING THAT ANOKA COUN)?Y BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS CONVEY THE FOLLOWING PROPERTIES 'l'O THE CITY OF RAMSEY FOR PUBLIC USE: P.I.N. 14-32-25- 22-0036 AND !02-32-25-23-0010 WHERE~AS, the Anoka County Board of Commissioners approved a resolution providing authority under Chapter 282 of Minnesota Statutes for pubhc sale of land s~mated in Anoka County which is forfeited to the State of Minnesota for nonpayment of taxes; and WHERE/$,S, the classification and sale of tax forfeit land lying within the bounds of any organized town w~h a taxable value in excess of $20,000 of an incorporated municipality must be approved by the C~uncll of each City insofar as lands located therein are concerned; and k WHEREAS, the town board or governing body will be deemed to have approved classification sale ~f the County Board is not notified of the disapproval of the classification sale within ninety (905 days of the date requested for approval as transmitted to the town board or governing body; arid WHEREAS, if the town board or governing body desires to acquire any parcel lying in the town or munidjpality by procedures authorized in Section 282.01, it shall within ninety (90) days of the reque~,ted classification and sale, f'fle a written application to the County Board to withhold the parce.l from public sale for one year. NOW THEREF~)RE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ~NOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That AnokZg County withhold from public sale and convey to the City of Ramsey the properties 141,'. own as P.I.N. 14-32-25-22-0036 and 02-32-25-23-0010 for use as open space and drainage. 2) That a certified copy of this resolution be forwarded to Anoka County.
