Mr. Muller responded he felt they were also in favor of the project. <br /> <br />Economic Development/TIF Specialist Sullivan asked if the property owners were willing to step <br />forward and malce investments. <br /> <br />Mr. Muller responded they certainly were interested in looking at options. <br /> <br />Member Kurak stated she saw no reason not to forward the McComb study to the City Council. <br /> <br />Motion by Member Kurak, seconded by Member Kiefer, to approve forwarding the McComb <br />study to the City Council. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: <br /> <br />Member Gromberg asked who would draft the RFP. <br /> <br />Ms. Geisler responded staff would do so and the cost of completing the RFP would be staff time. <br />She added the RFP used to hire the McComb Group would be appropriate to use as a model. <br /> <br />Member Kurak suggested an informal meeting take place with the business owners and <br />landowners who ~had attended the July meeting, as further discussion and gathering of ideas <br />would help make sure there was understanding up front. <br /> <br />Member LeToumeau noted a group of owners had met together on two separate occasions and <br />he felt the group was "pretty well brought up to speed." <br /> <br />Member Kurak su~ggested it might be a good idea if a couple of EDA members could sit in on <br />those meetings. <br /> <br />Member Kurak as~ked if there would be any problems regarding leaseholder contracts or if there <br />had been any feedback concerning this issue. <br /> <br />Mr. Muller responded he was sure that would not be a problem, as most of the tenants had been <br />there for years. Abstain: Member LeTourneau. <br /> <br />Case #2: Authorize HRA Levy <br /> <br />Economic Development/TIF Specialist Sullivan explained the resolution creating the Economic <br />Development Authority in 1he City of Ramsey gave all the statutory powers of an EDA and <br />Housing and RedeYelopment Authority (HRA) to the Ramsey EDA.
