CASE <br /> <br />REVIEW AND ADOPT THE 1995 BUDGET CALENDAR <br /> By: Jessie L. Hart, Finance Officer <br /> <br />Background: ~ <br /> <br />The Ramsey CiG Charter specifically states that a budget calendar shall be established annually by <br />resolution. ~ <br />Before reviewing and adopting the calendar, it should be noted that due to 1994 being an election <br />year, it will be n~essary to re-schedule the City Council meetings that would normally be held on <br />Tuesday, Septed~ber 13, 1994 and Tuesday, November 8, 1994. It is recommended that these <br />meetings be re-~heduled to the Mondays immediately preceding the regularly scheduled dates as <br />follows: <br /> <br /> Tues~y, September 13, 1994 changed to Monday, September 12, 1994 <br /> Tuesday, November 8, 1994 changed to Monday, November 7, 1994 <br />The adoption of ~e 1995 Budget Calendar as presented is contingent upon re-scheduling these two <br />meetings...r <br /> <br />The attached cal~. ndar is smactured a bit different than in past years due to the early start on the <br />1995 budget pro~:ess. As you can see, there are several areas where work has already begun and <br />other areas wh~e the timing has been changed. These changes were necessary to facilitate <br />departmental reqgirements and how the budget process is being approached this year. <br /> <br />All of the dates indicated for County and State activities are based on the time frames from 1993. <br />We have not received anything to indicate that the timing for the processes indicated will change for <br />1994.
