7.61.10 E~penditures for Lawful Purposes Within City's Trade Area <br /> <br />Any organi~tion holding a premises permit to conduct lawful gambling within the City shall be <br />required to ekpend 75% of its "lawful purpose" expenditures on lawful purposes conducted or <br />located withifl the City's trade area and to the benefit of the City's trade area. <br /> <br />In the event ~e City is unable to detemaine with a reasonable degree of certainty that the required <br />75% of the la[wful purpose expenditures of the organization holding a premises permit to conduct <br />lawful gambl~g within the City is being expended on lawful purposes, the City Administrator may <br />require suchiother financial information as is reasonably necessary for the City to make this <br />determinatior~. <br /> <br /> For purposes~ of this subsection, the term Irade area is defined as the Cities of Ramsey, Anoka, <br /> Andover, an~l the Town of Burns in Anoka County, the City of Elk River in Sherburne County <br /> and the City[:of Dayton in Hennepin County. For purposes of this subsection, the term "lawful <br /> purpose(s)" i~ that definition assigned to it by Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 349. This subsection <br /> shall apply tq5 all organizations holding a premises permit to conduct lawful gambling within the <br /> City. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. ~IOLATIONS <br />Anyone who violau is the provisions of this section shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. This section does <br />not preclude civil an~i criminal penalties under applicable laws. Failure to file timely reports and payments <br />as required by this ;ction may result in a recommendation to the Board that the organization's premises <br />permit should be re' ,oked. <br /> <br />SECTION 4. ['FFECTIVE DATE <br /> <br />The effective date cfi' this Ordinance is thirty (30) days after its passage and publication, subject to City <br />Charter Section 5.0~. <br /> <br />152 <br /> <br /> <br />
