CASE # 7 <br />PROPOSED PURCHASE AGREEMENT FOR SALE OF LOT TO ANOKA <br />C~OUNTY COMMUNITY ACTION PROGRAM (ACCAP) <br /> By: Sylvia Frolik, Zoning Administrator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />As you know, ih 1993 the City Council approved a Community Development Block Grant <br />(CDBG) projeci which consists of allocating approximately $17,922 to the Anoka County <br />Community Actt, on Program (ACCAP). The stipulation associated with the allocation was that <br />ACCCAP would use the funds to purchase a lot in the City of Ramsey. ACCCAP would then <br />oversee the construction of a home on the lot for which a moderate income family would qualify <br />for a home mortl~age. The selected parcel on which the home is proposed to be developed is Lot 3, <br />Block 5, Beaudr~'s 2nd Addition. <br /> <br />Observations:' <br /> <br />Enclosed for Ciiy Council review is a site location map and a copy of the pro, posed purchase <br />agreement betw{en ACCAP and the City of Ramsey for Lot 3, Block 5, ,Beaudry s 2nd Addition. <br />The purchase agreement has been reviewed and approved by ACCAP s attorney and board of <br />directors and Cit~ Attorney William Goodrich. <br /> <br />The agreed upo~purchase price is $17,922.00 and from these proceeds, Ramsey shall provide soil <br />borings, percol~ition tests, a certificate of, survey, title insurance, closing costs and any site <br />corrections dee~ed necessary by Ramsey s Building Official. The above is estimated not to <br />exceed $4,000.0~. The City originally purchased the lot for $8,807.55 through a forfeiture. <br /> <br />City Attorney V~tilliam Goodrich has given a favorable review~of the purchase agreement. <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />City Staff recorrirnends approval of the proposed purchase a~eement. . <br /> <br /> Councii Action: <br /> <br />Motion to: <br />AuthoriZe the Mayor and City Administrator to enter into a purchase agreement, as <br />presente), with ACCAP for the sale of Lot 3, Block 5, Beaudry's 2nd Addition. <br /> <br />Review Checkli:st: <br /> <br />CC: <br /> <br />City Administrator <br />City Attorney <br /> <br />4/26/94 <br /> <br /> <br />
