Councilmember i introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #94-04- RESOLUTIO~ AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT FOR CONSIJLTING SERVICES FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A TAX INCREMENT!DISTRICT FOR THE ANOKA ELECTRIC COOPERATIVE (AEC) FACILITY WHERISAS, the City has received a request for the extension of City water and sewer to the future locatioh of the AEC facility; and WHERI AS, the City has reviewed possible funding sources for the service extension and found that th; most economically sound some may be tax increment financing; and WriER]gAS, due to changes in the tax increment financing statutes it may be advantageous to ~se an outside consultant for document production; and WHER[;AS, the City has received a quote from Wilson Development Services in the amount of $4.500.00; and WHERI~AS, there are sufficient funds in the Economic Development Authority budget for this expendit4re. NOW THEREI~ORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, iANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: l) 2) That the ~ayor and City Adminisu'ator are directed to enter into an agreement with Wilson Development Services in an amount not to exceed $4,500 for the preparation of the documents for the creation of a Tax Increment Fin~.ancing District, to include the AEC facility sit~.
