Councilmember Tossey introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />Mayor Ramsey <br />Councilmember Tossey <br />Councilmember McGlone <br />Councilmember Backous <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Strommen <br />Councilmember Wise <br />RESOLUTION #11 -08 -152 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE 2030 COMPREHENSIVE <br />PLAN <br />WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Land Planning Act (MPLA) requires local units of <br />government to submit comprehensive plans and plan amendments to the Metropolitan Council <br />for review and comment to ensure consistency with metropolitan system plans, consistency with <br />other adopted comprehensive plans of the Metropolitan Council, and compatibility with plans of <br />other local jurisdictions in the Metropolitan Area; and <br />WHEREAS, on January 27, 2010, the Metropolitan Council authorized the City to put <br />the 203.0 Comprehensive Plan into effect; and <br />WHEREAS, the City desires to amend its 2030 Comprehensive Plan to implement <br />revised Metropolitan Council System Statements, a Wellhead Protection Plan as required by the <br />Minnesota Department of Health, as well as update multiple sections to reflect the following <br />1) Amended Master Plan for The COR <br />2) Revised alignments for Variolite Street and 167 Avenue <br />3) Revised alignment for the Central Anoka County Regional Trail <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the City of Ramsey hereby adopts an amendment to the 2030 Comprehensive Plan. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />McGlone, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />
