Mr. Lazan stated that when the bank sees what they need, cash is not an issue. They are fighting
every battle we are fighting. He thought it will get done.
Commissioner Tossey stated that what's on the agenda tonight is that the financing be extended.
He wanted to state that he has absolutely no desire to extend the ramp without a building.
Mr. Lazan stated that getting this deal done will fix a lot of things. That's exactly what we want
to happen is these three things — Flaherty and Collins, Suite Living and the train station.
Commissioner Tossey stated he is okay with the extension but to make it clear that the quicker
they get this done, the easier it will be.
The HRA reached a consensus to direct staff to prepare the final documents for approval at the
next regular HRA meeting.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
None
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR'S REPORT
HRA Director Nelson stated that you will start to see some activity on the new pylon sign. The
siren will go to the south and the power lines will be buried. We will get going on the Ramsey
Boulevard one too with the Holiday building coming down.
This week Ryan Cronk was in town and he will be finishing up the marketing packet tomorrow
afternoon to get to the printer and be ready to go for the ICSC Conference in Las Vegas.
Ms. Nelson talked about the nice recyclable tote bag with The COR logo. They will be available
for the Business Expo. We will have these at Happy Days and the Game Fair as well.
Commissioner Tossey inquired about the cost to which Ms. Nelson responded they amounted to
about $1 apiece.
Development Manager Lazan stated that he finalized the ICSC booth yesterday and would have
an exhibit layout for the HRA shortly.
Ms. Nelson talked about the ICSC luncheon in St. Paul and that the State Demographer was the
speaker. She, Kurt Ulrich, Intern Patrick Brama, and Darren Lazan attended the meeting.
Ms. Nelson talked about the presentation she and Mr. Lazan would be making at the MSCA
Conference on May 4 and that she would get the information out to the HRA.
Ms. Nelson noted there would be a lot of meetings this week and that she will keep the HRA
apprised.
Housing and Redevelopment Authority / April 5, 2011
Page 5 of 6
