EMINENT DDMAIN <br />Background:: <br /> <br />AUTHORIZATION FOR COUNTY ROAD <br />By: Steven Jankowski, City Engineer <br /> <br />#116 <br /> <br /> CASE # <br />TRAILWAY <br /> <br />As you know, ~e City has been proceeding to acquire land from the Ken Laws property in order <br />to facilitate a trail which will run from Anoka to the Ramsey Elementary School. A portion of this <br />trail will run along Wetland #114P in close proximity to an existing sewer and water easement <br />through the Ke~l Laws property, We have retained Evergreen Land Services to approach Mr. <br />Laws in an attempt to negotiate acquisition of approximately 0.23 acres which runs a distance of <br />approximately 3~0 feet through Mr. Laws' proper/-y. However, in the event we are unable to reach <br />a negotiated agreement, eminent domain proceedings must be initiated within 90 days of the time <br />access to the prqperty is required.
