Councilmemb~r <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #94-03- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING RAMSEY LIONS CLUB APPLICATION FOR A <br /> LICENSE AND <br />ONE-DAY ~)FF-SITE LAWFUL GAMBLING (PULL-TABS <br />TIPBOARDS)~ AT THE ANNUAL COMMUNITY PICNIC AT CENTRAL PARK <br /> <br /> WHEI~,EAS, the Ramsey Lions Club currently holds a license to conduct Iawful <br />gambling; and ~ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Ramsey Lions Club currently maintains at least one premises permit in <br />the City as req~red by the Gambling Control Board; and <br /> <br /> WHER2~AS, an orgamzatlon w~th a hcense to conduct lawful gambling may conduct <br />gambling on a ~ite other than a permitted site for one day each calendar year for a period up to 12 <br />hours; and ~ <br /> <br /> , . WHER~;~AS, the Ramsey Lions Club has requested Council waive the 30-day notice <br />provision; and ~ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Gambling Control Board Division of the Department of Gaming requires <br />the City of Ram~ey adopt a resolution specifically approving or denying the application. <br /> <br />NOW THERe_FORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY[ ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1 ) That the ~amsey City Council hereby approves the application for a one-day off-site lawful <br /> gambling, license (pull-tabs and tipboards) at the Annual Community Picnic at Central Park. <br />2) That the ~amsey City Council agrees to waive the 30'-'day notice provision. <br /> <br />3) That the! Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the City Administrator to sign the <br /> application and any other documents required by the Minnesota Gambling Control Board. <br /> <br />The motion for l~he adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> and[upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the follow~n§ voted against the same: <br /> <br /> i <br />and the followin~ abstained: <br /> <br />and the following~ were absent: <br /> <br /> <br />
