Commissioner who is an elected official of a Member City who is not <br /> reelected may be removed by the appointing Member City at the Member's <br /> discretion. Any decision by a Member to remove a Commissioner may be <br /> appealed to the Board of Water and Soil Resources. A certified copy of the <br /> Council's Resolution removing said Commissioner shall be filed with the <br /> Secretary of the Board of Commissioners and shall show compliance with the <br /> terms of this section. <br /> <br /> Subdivision 5. Each member shall within 30 days of appointment <br /> file with the Secretary of the Board of Commissioners a record of the <br /> appointment of its Commissioner and its Alternate Commissioner. The <br /> Commission shall notify the Board of Water and Soil Resources of member <br /> appointments and vacancies within 30 days after receiving notice from the <br /> member. Members shall fill all vacancies within 90 days after the vacancy <br /> occurs. <br /> <br /> Subdivision 6. Commissioners shall serve without compensation <br /> from the Commission, but this shall not prevent a governmental unit from <br /> providing compensation for its Commissioner for serving on the board, if <br /> such compensation is authorized by such governmental unit and by law. <br /> Commission funds may be used to reimburse a Commissioner or Alternate <br /> Commissioner for expenses incurred in performing Commission business and <br /> if authorized by the Board. <br /> <br /> Subdivision 7. At the first meeting of the Board and in February <br />of each year thereafter, the Board shall elect from its Commissioners a <br />Chair, a Vice Chair, a Secretary, a Treasurer, and such other officers as it <br />,deems necessay to conduct its meetings and affairs. At the organizational <br />meeting or a soon thereafter as it may be reasonably done, the Commission <br />shall adopt rules and regulations governing its meetings.
