Th additional reques cost information and horseshoe pi cost break downs PARK PLAN FOR THE NEIGHBORHOOD PARK IN THE SUNNY PONDS SUBDIVISION By: Parks/Utilities Supervisor Mark Boos CASE #1 morandum, dated April 22, 1994, was sent to the residents interested in the ne neighborhood park in the Sunny Ponds subdivision. On Thursday, April 28, ;idents "braved" the snow storm and came to City Hall to discuss the park's ose residents achieved a consensus for the park's development and also generated ts for information. In addition to the materials presented to them, they requested :on frisbee golf equipment, volleyball court consm]ction, the cost of a sandbox s, a potential half-court basketball facility, and tether ball. They also requested for a backhoe style digger and a full-size independent swing for the playground. The residents des red future park dedication projections for the Pnfir/e District in order to help them formulate the "Please I" development of the park. Those residents requested this information preparatory to Tt esday, Ma), 10, 1994, when they will again meet and finalize their requests and recommendation]~ to the Commission for the park's development. They also plan to have representatives at!the Ma), 12, 1994 Park and Recreation meeting. It is expected thai the Park and Recreation Commission will be able to recommend approval of a park plan and co~esponding budget based on information and requests presented by the residents at the meeting. The Commission, if possible, should also recommend a name for the park (reports from the residentls Apr/1 28, 1994 meeting indicate they support the name "Solstice Park", and eventual provisior~ of a Sun Dial). If all of the park elements are agreed to at the meeting, Staff will at 24, formalize the parl~ plan drawing and present the mater/als to City Council their May 1994 m eetln g.
