On Thursday, April 28, <br />;idents "braved" the snow storm and came to City Hall to discuss the park's <br />ose residents achieved a consensus for the park's development and also generated <br />ts for information. In addition to the materials presented to them, they requested <br />:on frisbee golf equipment, volleyball court consm]ction, the cost of a sandbox <br />s, a potential half-court basketball facility, and tether ball. They also requested <br />for a backhoe style digger and a full-size independent swing for the playground. <br /> <br />The residents des red future park dedication projections for the Pnfir/e District in order to help them <br />formulate the "Please I" development of the park. Those residents requested this information <br />preparatory to Tt esday, Ma), 10, 1994, when they will again meet and finalize their requests and <br />recommendation]~ to the Commission for the park's development. They also plan to have <br />representatives at!the Ma), 12, 1994 Park and Recreation meeting. <br />It is expected thai the Park and Recreation Commission will be able to recommend approval of a <br />park plan and co~esponding budget based on information and requests presented by the residents <br />at the meeting. The Commission, if possible, should also recommend a name for the park (reports <br />from the residentls Apr/1 28, 1994 meeting indicate they support the name "Solstice Park", and <br />eventual provisior~ of a Sun Dial).
