· I Councflmember~ its adoption: introduced thc following resolution and moved for RESOLUTION #94-06- RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND SPECIFICAT,'IONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #94-03 (SEALCOAT AND CRACK FILL BARTHEL'S ,RUM RIVER ACRES 2ND ADDITION) WHERe;AS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Ramsey City Council on May 24, 1994, the City F_4ngineer has prepared contract documents and specifications for the sealcoating and crack filling of, Barthel's Rum River Acres 2nd Addition and has presented such contract documents and 4pecificafions to the Council for approval. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY~ ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) That such contract documents and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a ~art hereof, are hereby approved. 2) That the!City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the Construction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improv4ment under such approved contract documents and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for 21 days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bidsJ will be received by the City Administrator until 2:00 p.m. on July 8, 1994 at which tithe they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey Municipal Center ~y the City Engineer and the City Clerk (or their representatives), will then be tabulate~, and will be considered by the Ramsey City Council at 7:30 p.m. on July 12, 1994 in xhe Council Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during considefition of the bid will be given an opportunity {o address the Council on the issue of respons(bility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Adminiskator and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check pa~able to the City of Ramsey for five (5) percent of the amount of such bid. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember &nd upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution, was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 14th day of June, 1994.
