Councilmembe: its adoption: #/3 introduced the following resolution and moved for RESOLUTION #94-06- RESOLUTIION APPROVING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #94-04 (SEALCOAT AND CRACK FILL HAUSER/HY!10 RAMSEY 1ST, 3RD AND 4TH ADDITIONS) WHEI~..EAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Ramsey City Council on May 24, 1994, the City Sngineer has prepared contract documents and specifications for the sealcoating and crack filling of Flauser/HY-10 Ramsey 1 st, 3rd and 4th Additions and has presented such contract documents and ~pecificafions to the Council for approval. NOW THERI~FORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY[, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) That such contract documents and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a Tart hereof, are hereby approved. 2) That th~ City Adminisu'ator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the .Construction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved contract documents and specifications. The advertisement shall be published for 21 days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bidi wilt be received by the City Administrator until 2:00 p.m. on July 8, 1994 at which ti~e they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey Municipal Center ~y the City Engineer and the City Clerk (or their representatives), will then be tabulate~t, and will be considered by the Ramsey City Council at 7:30 p.m. on July 12, 1994 inlthe Council Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during consideStion of the bid will be given an opportunity io address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sea, led and filed with the City AdminiStrator and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier s check, bid bond or certified check p~yable to the City of Ramsey for five (5) percent of the amount of such bid. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember 4md upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the followini[ voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 14th day of June, 1994.
