Councilmember its adoption: introduced the following resolution and moved for RESOLUTION #94-06. RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND SPECIFICAT][ONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR IMPROVEMI~NT PROJECT #94-09 (SEALCOAT AND CRACK FILL RIVERWOODiHILLS PLAT 1) WHERI~-AS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Ramsey City Council on May 24, 1994, the City E~gineer has prepared contract documents and specifications for the sealcoating and crack filling of~ Riverwood Hills Plat 1 and has presented such contract documents and specifications to the Council for approval. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY,IANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) That sucti contract documents and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a p~?t hereof, are hereby approved. 2) That the ~ity Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the C~nstruction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved contract documents and specifications. The advertiset~ent shall be published for 21 days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids !will be received by the City Administrator until 2:00 p.m. on July 8, 1994 at which tirrie they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey Municipal Center b~ the City Engineer and the City Clerk (or their representatives), will then be tabulated~and will be considered by the Ramsey City Council at 7:30 p.m. on July 12, 1994 in t~ae Council Chambers. Any bidder whose:.responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sea, led and filed with the City Adminis~ator and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier s check, bid bond or certified check pa~able to the City of Ramsey for five (5) percent of the amount of such bid.
