.Councilmember ~_ ~ts adoption: RESOLUTI¢ SPECIFICAT IMPROVEMI~ introduced the following resolution and moved for RESOLUTION g94-06- IN APPROVING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS IONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS PROJECT #94-13 (BITUMINOUS AND FOR OVERLAY WHISPERING PINES ESTATES PLAT 3) WHERI',AS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Ramsey City Council on May 24, 1994, the City ~',ngineer has prepared contract documents and specifications for the bituminous overlaying of V~'hispering Pines Estates Plat 3 and has presented such contract documents and specifications to the Council for approval. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1) That such contract documents and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a [~t hereof, are hereby approved. 2) That the ~City Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the ~.onstruction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improve~nent under such approved contract documents and specifications. The advertisa~ment shall be published for 21 days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids! will be received by the City Administrator until 2:00 p.m. on July 8, 1994 at which tixfie they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey Municipal Center b~ the City Engineer and the City Clerk (or their representatives), will then be tabulatea, and will be considered by the Ramsey City Council at 7:30 p.m. on July 12, 1994 in ~he Council Chambers. Any bidder whose responsibility is questioned during conside~tion of the bid will be given an opportunity'to address the Council on the issue of responsibility. No bids will be considered unless sea, led and filed with the City Adminis~ator and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier s check, bid bond or certified check pa~yable to the City of Ramsey for five (5) percent of the amount of such bid. The motion for ~e adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said i'esolufion was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 14th day of June, 1994.
