Councilmcmbcr its adoption: introduced thc following resolution and moved for RESOLUTION g94-06- RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND SPECIFICAT~[ONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT //94-14 (BITUMINOUS OVERLAY SORTEBERG'S ADDITION) ~ WHERI~AS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Ramsey City Council on May 24, 1994, the City ~tngineer has prepared contract documents and specifications for the bituminous overlaying of So]rteberg's Addition and has presented such contract documents and specifications to the Council fo~ approval. NOW THERE~ZORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY,!ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: l) That suc~ contract documents and specifications, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. 2) That the ~ity Administrator shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in the C~nstruction Bulletin, an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improve.tnent under such approved contract documents and specifications. The advertisegaent shall be published for 21 days, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bidslwill be received by the City Administrator until 2:00 p.m. on July 8, 1994 at which tirSe they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Ramsey Municipal Center by the City Engineer and the City Clerk (or their representatives), will then be tabulate~ and will be considered by the Ramsey City Council at 7:30 p.m. on July 12, 1994 in Ilhe Council Chambers. Any bidder whose, responsibility is questioned during considerfltion of the bid will be given an opportunity to address the Council on the issue of responsil~ility. No bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Administrator and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check pa~able to the City of Ramsey for five (5) percent of the amount of such bid. The motion for tt!e adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember ~d upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the followin~ abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon said ~solution was declared duty passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 14th day of J~une, 1994.
