Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #94-06- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />INTERCONNECT) <br /> <br />BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR <br />#94.17 (RAMSEY-ANOKA WATER SYSTEM <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a motion was adopted by the Ramsey City Council on April 12, 1994, <br />authorizing the preparation of plans and specifications for the above referenced work; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Resolution -~q94-05-100 was passed on May 24, 1994, accepting the plans <br />and specifications and authorizing the advertisement for bids for the above referenced work; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Ramsey-Anoka Water System <br />Interconnect, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law on June I7, 1994; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the following bids were received: <br /> <br />Bidder <br /> <br />Amount of Bid <br /> <br />W. B. Miller, Inc. <br />Penn Contracting <br /> <br />$39,514.00 <br />$54,536.0O <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS, it appears that W. B. Miller, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />corm-act with W. B. Miller in the name of the City of Ramsey for the Ramsey-Anoka Water <br />System Interconnect (Improvement Project ~94-17) in the amount of $39,514.00. <br /> <br />2) <br /> <br />That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders <br />the deposits made with their bio[s, except thai the deposits of the successful bidder and the <br />next to lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councitmember <br /> and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this <br />the 28th day of June, 1994. <br /> <br />ATTEST: Mayor <br /> <br />City Administrator <br /> <br /> <br />
