Councilmembe~ introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #94-07- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR <br />IMPROVEMI~NT PROJECT #93-11 THROUGH ~)3-13 (1994 STREET PAVING <br />PROGRAM)' <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, resolutions were adopted by the Ramsey City Council on September 14, <br />1993, October ~.6, 1993, and October 12, I993, authorizing the preparation of plans and <br />specifications fo: Improvement Projects #93-11, #93-12 and #93-13 respectively; and <br /> <br /> WriER! AS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 1994 Street Paving Program <br />(Improvement ~roject #93-11 through #93-13), bids were received, opened and tabulated <br />according to la,~ on July 8, 1994; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the following bids were received: <br /> Bidder Amount of Bid <br /> <br /> W. B. Miller, Inc. $48,122.00 <br /> Bitumino¢s Consulting & Contracting Co., Inc. $53,220.90 <br /> Buck Bla~top, Inc. $60,718.00 <br /> Aero Asp,halt, Inc. $70,952.00 <br /> <br /> AND WHEREAS, it appears that W. B. Miller, Inc. is the lowest responsible bidder. <br /> <br />NOW THEREI~ORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSEY, IANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) That the ~ayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br /> contract w, ith W. B. Miller, Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for the 1994 Street <br /> Paving PrOgram (Improvement Projects g93-11 through #93-13) in the amount of <br /> $48,122.00. <br /> <br />2) That the City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders <br /> the deposi~ made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the <br /> next to low~st bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br /> ; <br />The motion for theladoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> an~ upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following qoted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following V~ere absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resblution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this <br /> <br />the 12th day of July,, 1994. <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />City Administrator <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
