Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbcrtson, Councilmembers Paterson and Hardin. <br />Voting No: Councilmembers Beyer and Zimmem~an. <br /> <br />Ms. Hart explained that the City has submitted an Environmental Assessment Worksheet <br />(EAW) for the proposed section of Sunwood Drive N.W. between Krypton Street N.W. <br />and County Road #116. The Minnesota Historical Society has requested that the City <br />complete an archaeological survey for the construction area. The City has received <br />proposals ranging from $1,200 to $4,800; therefore, the Finance Committee recommended <br />that the study be approved at a not-to-exceext price of $1,200. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Hardin and seconded by Mayor Gilbertson to adopt Resolution <br />-.-.-~4-05-106 directing the Mayor and City Administrator to sign all necessary, documents for <br />the completion of the archaeological survey and to enter into the contract in an amount not <br />to exceed $1,200. <br /> <br />Motion carrie..A. Voting Yes: Mayor Gilbertson, Councilmembers Hardin, Beyer, Peterson <br />and Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #8: Personnel Issue <br /> <br />Case #8 is a closed case. <br /> <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL INPUT <br /> <br />Complaints <br /> <br />Councilmember Bever commented on the note to Council regarding a complaint received by <br />Staff about a Councitmember turning her microphone away during the meetings. She <br />stated she takes exception to the complaint and that the complaint policy is that the name <br />and phone number of the person making the complaint should be secured. She felt she <br />could then deal with the person making the complaint. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schro~er stated if a citizen complains about something, he feels it isn't <br />so important to get the name of the person making the complaint. The important thing is to <br />do something about it. <br /> <br />Councitmember Peterson stated that with complaints and/or comments about the cable <br />broadcast, Council, Staff and the Cable company are able to improve the quality of the <br />broadcast and playback of the meetings. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman also felt that if staff receives a complaint, they should get the <br />name and address from the person making such complaint. <br /> <br />Mn'. Schroeder stated that Staff will pass on any input gained from the public whether it is <br />anonymous or not. <br /> <br />Councitmember Beyer stated that if the complaint is about her, she wants a contact person. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Zimmem'mn to adjourn <br />the open portion of the CitT Council meeting. <br /> <br />7O <br /> <br />City Council/ Mt~v 24, 1994 <br /> Page 12 oft 13 <br /> <br /> <br />
