City ma), bc able to assist both thc Anoka County Economic Development Parmcrship (Parnership) and thc Webster Corporation by providing a joint assistm~cc package. 1) 2) 3) The Partnership provides for the remodeling of the steel building on the City's new Public Works facility site at 14100 .laspar Street. Thc Partnership rents this facility from the Ramsey Economic Development Authority for S; 1.00 l~er year. The cost of thc remodeling would determine thc lenglh of thc agreement. We are currently estimating thc term to be two years. At the end of thc lease term, thc City would determine if the space was required for City needs or if it is beneficial to all parties to establish a lease extension or an opportunity for a new venture between the City and the Pannership. An alternative to explore may be a long- term agreement between the Partnership or Capital Fund for incubator space at this or another location. If you believe this is a workable idea, the next step would be to find out the cost and type of remodeling required, and to gain both your board and the City Council's approval.
