Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A BUDGET AMENDMENT FOR THE CAPITAL PURCHASE OF TWO DIGITAL PAGERS FOR THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WHEREAS, at the Fire Board meeting of Wednesday, Augusl ]7, 1994, there was approval for the addition of two additional frre fighters; and WHEREAS, it is necessa_~, that ali fn,-e fighters are provided a means of quick notification in the cvem of emergency or fu-e; and WHEREAS, at the Council's Finance Committee meeting of August 22, 1994, staff presente_.d a request for thc purchase of two digiud pagers for thc additional fire fighters; and WHEREAS, the funding of approximately $900 is available through budget realiocations in the Adopted 1994 General Fund Budget; and WHEREAS, the Finance Committee approved this recommendation and hereby recommends that the Ramsey City Council authorize the purchase and funding sources as detailed within this resolution. NOW THEREF~ORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as fofiows: l) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the capital purchase of two digital pagers for a total not to exceed $900. 2) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the'budget reallocation of funds in the Adopted 1994 General Fund Budget as detailed in this resolution. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Counciknember and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the foliowing voted against the same: and the fo/lowing were absent: and the following abstained: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopt~ by the Ramsey City Council this the 22nd day of August, 1994.
