Councilmembe~ introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: ; RESOLUTION #94-09- RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF FUND #604 AS THE RECYC~LING ENTERPRISE FUND IN THE CITY'S FINANCIAL SYSTEM WHEI~EAS, at the August 22, 1994, regular City Council meeting, the City Council adopted Ordin~ce ~94- which amended Chapter 5 of the City Code, adding Section 5.13.07 which will be khown as the Recycling Rates and Charges section of the City Code; and WHEREAS, Section 5.13.07 allows the establishment of a recycling charge that will be set from time tO time by Council resolution; and WHEREAS, at the August 22, 1994, Finance Committee meeting, the Committee approved estab}ishment of a recycling charge for residential curbside recycling which would make the program self-supporting; and WHEREAS, at the August 22, 1994, regular City Council meeting, the City Council ratified the Finhnce Committees actions by adopting Resolution g94-08- which establishes a self-supporting~recycling charge; and WHEREAS, a self-supporting activity shall be accounted for in its own enterprise fund. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSES, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, AS FOLLOWS: 1) That t}'le Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the establishment of a new City Fund #604 eiatitled Recycling Enterprise Fund for the purpose of accounting for all revenues and expen~tures associated with the City curbside recycling and abatement activities within the City o~ Ramsey. ..: The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember ahd upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: whereupon s~d resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 12th day rif September, 1994. · ATTEST: Mayor City Administrator 75
