Councilmember~. ,. RESOLUTIOliq REPAIRS introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #94-09- RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING 14100 JASPAR STREET N.W. (PUBLIC CONTRACT FOR ROOF WORKS FACILITY) WHEREAS, on August 31, 1994, the City of Ramsey purchased the property located at 14100 Jaspar St?eet N.W. for the purpose of a public works facility; and WHEREAS, the Finance Committee approved, at their September 12, 1994 meeting, a remodeling bud~get for the cement structure located on the site, for doors, HVAC/air exchange, roofing, electrical, landscaping and paving; and WHEREAS, the City Council, on September I2, 1994, ratified the Finance Committee's budget approval~ with not-to-exceed amounts, to be done pursuant to the Minnesota bid law; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the Minnesota bid law, bids were advertised and only the single following bid w.hs received: Palmer West Construction Co., Inc. $42,300.00 _r AND WHEREAS, Palmer West Construction Co., Inc. is the lowest bidder. NOW THERi~FORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSES, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That th~ City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement with Palkner West Construction Co., Inc. in the name of the City of Ramsey for the repairs to the ~.-wal.l's-a'nd-r'~l'~.;~~~r--.~t~tqg~at 14100 Jaspar Street N.W. in the amount iof $42,300.00. The motion for. the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember an~t upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the followir},..g voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the followiflg were absent: whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 27th day of:September, 1994.
