Please find enclbsed a sketch illustrating the approximate routes for the utility extensions. Below is some additiorm] information to assist you with your proposal. It is proposed that a 30-inch interceptor sanitary sewer will be extended for approximately 4,800 feet to the site. An 18-inch tributary sanitar~ sewer will be extended into the site. The sanitary sewer will be placed through areas which ard. not currently dedicated right-of-way. Easement descriptions will need to be prepared for thiese areas. The depth of the sewer will i.nitiate at an elevation of 838.7 and topo~aphy is p~bvided on the enclosed aerial photo~aph which will allow for determination of the relative depths, i It should also be noted that the sanitary sewer will extend through a property which has bee~ the previous site of a concrete manufacturer. Borings should be strongly considered '. ~ thron~h this area to determine the underlying soil condition as well as ~ound water levels. The extgnsion of approxdimately 6,400 feet of watermain will follow a separate route, primarily along County Road 44116. This watermain is anticipated to be 16 inches in diameter, as indicated by the iartached sketch. The site layout of the Anoka Electric Cooperative is uncertain at the time of this proposal. The consultants will ,need to coordinate efforts with AEC and their engineers to determine the exact service requirements and utility locations within the development parcel. BASIC SERVIC:ES The consultant shall provide the following basic engineering services: · Preparation Of plans and specifications for the extension of sanitary sewer and watermain. · Identify and prepare legal descriptions for easements required outside dedicated rights-of-way. · Address .reqUirements for dewatering and County Highway permits associated with the construction.: · Prepare necessary submittal information to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency and the D~partment c~f Health. · Prepare final cost estimate. · Solicit and ol~tain bids.
