Councilmemberi introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #94-10- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR <br />GARAGE DOORS AND ACCESSORIES AT 14100 JASPAR STREET N.W. <br />(PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY) <br /> WttERlgAS, on August 31, 1994, the City of Ramsey purchased the property located at <br />14100 Jaspar Stj'eet N.W. for the purpose of a public works facility; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Finance Committee approved at their September 12, 1994 meeting, a <br />remodeling bur{get for the cement structure located on the site, for doors, HVAC/air exchange, <br />roofing, electric~al, landscaping and paving; and <br /> WHERI~AS, the City Council on September I2, 1994, ratified the Finance Committees <br />budget approval, with not-to-exceed amounts, to be done pursuant to the Minnesota bid law; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the Minnesota bid law, written quotes were obtained for basic <br />garage doors (i~cludes doors, openers and safety edges); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the following written quotes were received for the basic doors: <br /> <br />eke's Anoka Garage Doors <br />at Garage Door Co. <br />l~ndusu'ial Door Co., Inc. <br /> <br />$ 3,820.OO <br />$ 3,596.00 <br />$ 4,O55.OO <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Great Garage Door Co.'s bid included one of the doors in a smaller size <br />than requested; imd .- <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it appears that after adjusting Great Garage Door Co.'s bid for comparability <br />it appears that 1~:'~ ike's Anoka Garage Doors is the lowest bidder for the basic garage doors; and <br /> WHEREAS, Mike's Anoka Garage Doors will also provide necessary accessories at an <br />additional cost ~bf $628.00. <br />NOW THERI~FORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF RAMSE¥, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That tho City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement <br /> with Mike s Garage Doors. in the name of the City of Ramsey for garage doors and <br /> accesso~es at 14100 Jaspar Street N.W. in the amount of $4,448.00 <br /> <br />The motion for!the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> an41 upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the followiag voted against the same: <br /> <br /> <br />
